Worst part is people keep falling for it again, and again and again. "You just don’t like the game because you’re sexist!" Then scores of entitled fuckwits, of which none of whom have encountered actual prejudice, will scream like bean sidhe and cry havock to loose the dogs of war. Worst part is the smokescreen bullshit that people keep falling for.

Its cheaper to make a movie than program a game, that’s why all games are movies now. Unless the jokes end we maynot ever get over this, if some corporate twitter account makes a joke or even a jab at another (like Wendy’s) do not give it attention for it is not at all "based" but in fact the biggest cringe of them all.

Throughout all of the 2010’s (or even before that) we’ve been conditioned hard into this corporate loyalty and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop. This kind of thing isn’t happening for just video games either, it’s the whole world.

Even worse than that is these consumers will try to make you out as some kind of bad guy for heavily criticizing a product and may even act like they’re paying for it out of spite. Even worse is that brands are now relying on their inherent brand loyalty over their quality so they don’t need to try hard anymore to impress because consumers will just consume.

Attention to detail is almost a thing of the past, stylistic lighting is barely a thing either, the era of irony has flanderized minor silliness into full on cringe comedy. Day one DLC became super common, games would become more and more low effort.

Movie "games" like The Last of Us and Unchartwd got super popular and the obsession with realism in games got heavier and heavier. The 2010’s is where almost everything succumbed to being a soulless void of nothing.
